Six Months

As if the first five months weren't exciting enough, it's CHRISTMAS TIME! Christmas is my absolute favorite part of the year. There was just too much cuteness throughout the month of December in The Schmidt Household. Here's a little bit about our first Christmas together as a family of three:

You STOPPED TRAFFIC at Starbucks with this outfit.

Schmidt Girls at Rocky Sansom's Engagement Party

My goal was to run 100 miles from the time I could start working out mid-August to  December 31. We did them all together and you were so cute in your little hats you would usually keep them on through dinner.
Papa Whit takes you on Walk Abouts every day. But you have to bundle!

I can't believe I haven't mentioned your obsession with Barney yet. Anytime you hear the theme song you drop what you're doing and find the TV. Nona introduced you to Barney and you've loved it from the beginning!

You're NOT allowed to play with technology. For some reason you freak out when it's taken away.

You're definitely outgrowing your most favorite thing ever: The My Little Snugabunny Swing. We tell you to suck it in as we strap you in so you can still enjoy naps :)

I think we better jump to your first visit to SANTA CLAUS! (I know him!! -Elf). You were so good. And we waited in line at Bass Pro Shops for a little under 2 hours. It was so worth it. When you turned around to catch a glimpse of Santa it was pure Christmas Magic.

Waiting in line.

Some more firsts of The Christmas Season:

Before the Jingle Bell Concert at NWF State College.

Marching in Destin's Christmas Parade with the Cheerleaders.

Opening your first present.

You are sitting up like a pro!

And lastly, you're exploring foods! Favorites are bananas & avocados.

One of the best things about Christmas is the excitement of Christmas Eve! We went to our normal church service at Beachside and a special Christmas Eve service at Yaya & Pawpaw's church. Then we got in Christmas PJ's to watch a movie and get in bed early so Santa could come!

After so much preparation and excitement, it was Christmas Morning! We have a tradition of seeing what Santa brings to our house, opening presents, then going to Yaya & Pawpaws to see the rest of the Schmidt Family, eat breakfast and open gifts, and we finish by having Christmas Dinner and opening presents at Nona & Papa Whit's.

December was wrapped up with Harper turning six months old and of course New Year's Eve! Here's to a happy & healthy 2013! Oh, and 500 miles next year! :)

We caught the 8 pm firework show!

Wishing you & yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Love, The Schmidts
